Privacy policy

01 Who we are

This policy describes how Construction CEG (“we,” “our company”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information, in compliance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR c. P‑39.1), as amended by Law 25.

02 Person in charge of the protection of personal information

In accordance with section 3.1 of the Act, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information (privacy officer), who oversees compliance with this policy.

03 Personal information we collect

We limit collection to the information necessary for the purposes described below.

We do not collect sensitive information (health, biometrics, etc.) in operating this website.

04 Purposes of collection

  • Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes;
  • Communicate with you about your projects;
  • Ensure the operation, security and improvement of the website;
  • Measure site traffic (anonymized or aggregated statistics), if you consent;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless permitted or required by law.

05 Consent

By sending us your information through the form or by email, you consent to its use for the purposes described. This consent is express, free and informed, and given for specific purposes.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the privacy officer (section 2). Withdrawal is not retroactive and may limit our ability to respond to your request.

06 Cookies and tracking technologies

Our site uses cookies. In accordance with section 8.1 of the Act, cookies that can identify you or analyze your behaviour are only activated with your consent. By default, only strictly necessary cookies are active.

07 Disclosure to third parties and suppliers

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose it to:

  • Our service providers acting on our behalf (website hosting, analytics, email), contractually bound to confidentiality;
  • Authorities, where required by law.
Suppliers that may be used: Cloudflare (web hosting), Google (analytics, maps), Meta/Facebook (social media). The exact list must be confirmed by the company.

08 Transfer of information outside Quebec

Some of our suppliers (notably Cloudflare, Google and Meta) may store or process information outside Quebec, including in the United States.

In accordance with section 17 of the Act, before any such transfer we carry out a privacy impact assessment (PIA) to ensure the information receives adequate protection, and we frame these transfers with appropriate agreements.

09 Retention and destruction

We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or to meet our legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we destroy or anonymize it securely.

For reference: quote requests and communications are kept for the duration of the business relationship and the period required by law thereafter (exact period to be confirmed by the company).

10 Security measures

We take reasonable security measures — physical, administrative and technological — to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, disclosure or use, taking into account its sensitivity.

11 Your rights

Subject to the conditions provided by the Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you (s. 27);
  • Have corrected information that is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal (s. 28);
  • Withdraw your consent to its use;
  • Request that dissemination cease or that a hyperlink be de‑indexed (right to de‑indexing, s. 28.1);
  • Receive, in a structured, commonly used technological format, the computerized information you provided to us (portability, s. 27);
  • Be informed when a decision concerning you is based exclusively on automated processing (where applicable — not used on this site).

To exercise these rights, contact the privacy officer (section 2). We respond within 30 days. Proof of identity may be required. Except as otherwise provided by law, exercising these rights is free of charge.

12 Information concerning minors

This site is intended for a business audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information about persons under 14 without the consent of the person having parental authority.

13 Confidentiality incidents

In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we take reasonable measures to reduce its consequences, keep an incident register, and notify the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) as well as the persons concerned, in accordance with the Act.

14 Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date.

15 Complaint to the Commission d'accès à l'information

If you believe we have not respected your rights, you may first contact our privacy officer (section 2). You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec:
